It is run by a committee representing user groups and volunteers. The main hall can hold up to 120 people and there is also a large meeting room, an open meeting area upstairs, and a kitchen.

Rooms are available for both regular bookings for clubs and organisations, and for one off functions. Bookings can be made via the Bookings Secretary, Mr Roy Gregory on 01995 670357.

All the equipment has safety rubberised surfacing, and the site is inspected for safety and cleaned regularly.

The equipment is well used and has served several generations who now bring their own children to use the playground.

In addition to the formal playground, the Parish Council also provides a football pitch adjoining the Village Hall that is used by teams from Elswick and the surrounding area.
